What is the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement
Center?
Who can use the services?
How are the Services paid for?
For those who have lost a loved one, the
center
provides grief support and counseling for hospice families and
the community. The professional and caring staff bring
experience and understanding to help individuals and families
through the difficult grieving process. Services include
individual counseling and ongoing support groups, Grief Lecture
Series, Classroom Support Services, and Community Education and
Workshops. On-site counseling and training is available at
healthcare settings, schools, places of worship and wherever
people work. Referrals provided as needed.
Anyone who needs grief counseling; you do not
need to be part of our Hospice Program to participate in any of
our Bereavement Programs.
If your loved one was a Hospice patient in our
program, you and your family automatically become part of The
Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement programs that are part of the
Hospice Medicare benefit. For those outside of Hospice a
suggested donation is acceptable. We also perform memorials for
the community at large. No one is ever denied access of services
based on ability to pay.
Listed below are some of our programs.
The Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center is
funded through the generosity of
donations from
families, clients, and the community through the Karen Ann
Quinlan Memorial Foundation. Small fees
requested for special groups are to partially cover the costs of
supplies.
